Sand or Stone

This is an illustrative friendship story about a walk through the desert, which tests the strength of their friendship.

During some point of the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, he wrote in the sand:

Today my best friend slapped me in the face.

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but his friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

Today my best friend saved my life.

The friend, who had slapped and saved his best friend, asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away, but when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your blessings in stone.

A Great 'Hiking' Experience

Stopping by to blog about my hiking trip. =D Just got back from an awesome 'hiking' trip organized by the outdoor club in Cameron yesterday. *tired* As a matter of fact, we didn't hike much as it was raining. The weather up in the highland is weird. Could be raining now but a minute later, you can see it's sunny again. =S Due to the weather conditions up there, the organizing committee had to change their plans. At first, the plan was to hike up the camping site but ended up we took the bus up and stayed for a night. After setting up the tents, we went to the nearby waterfall. Wander around for couple of hours (taking pictures, walking around the forest). Finally at night, we had BBQ. =) Chicken wings, sausages, marshmallows and potatoes(didn't see any potatoes around although they said they have it). It was a fun night out. The next day, we finally got the chance to go for a short hike. It was fun though where everyone hike up to the watch tower together and the feeling of satisfaction once you reached the top. Along the way, the scenery was really nice and mesmerizing.... After that, we had a trip to the bee farm. strawberry farm, kea farm and tea valley. In these few places, annie, jaclyn and I had so much fun eating, eating and eating. Nevertheless, buying, buying and buying. =P Annie nearly bought the whole farm back home. >.<

Time flies without you realizing it especially when you're having so much fun. 2 days 1 night just seems insufficient for me. But i'm really grateful that i have this 2 days spent with my friends and got to know some other new friends.

Exams is just around the corner and i'm still slacking and taking my own sweet time. =S Guess i have to get back to my Pharmaceutics lecture notes now. Tata =.=
